Voices for Change is pleased to welcome Kelly Whitworth as our new Membership and Outreach coordinator. Kelly brings skills in community radio and lived experience advocacy to the team. She is looking forward to growing our membership, networking with other groups and organising some creative projects and events with our members. Stay tuned for news and updates from Kelly throughout 2023.
In other news, on Easter Thursday Voices for Change caught a ferry across the bay to Williamstown and had lunch in one of its historic pubs. We enjoyed some lovely sunny weather and really enjoyed seeing the city from the water and sailing past the docks. This was a great opportunity to catch up with new Voices for Change members and to welcome Kelly to the team.
In the coming months, we are looking forward to sharing our knowledge and building connections with Victoria Legal Aid (VLA), the Brain Injury Association of Tasmania (BIAT) and the Self Advocacy Resource Unit (Victoria) (SARU).
